FAITH AND PURPOSE

FAITH

We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten and one in Being with the Father. Through him all things were made.

For the salvation of humanity he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit, he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day he rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father.

He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. We believe in the universal church. Acknowledge baptism. Forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting-Amen.

FOUNDER

Christlikeness Christian Network was founded by Patrick O. Emmanuel born in Nigeria, raised in the Niger Delta region. Nigeria, A country whose forebears valued patriotism and enshrined it into her foundation. But greed, corruption found an enduring path early enough through fear driven by the absolute rule of military dictatorship. The country never quite recovered even after transition to civil rule.

Growing up in Nigeria. even though that was all he knew and experienced he felt un-belonging because he could not identify with the lawlessness, incivility, religious persecution and corruption. Although the people are hardworking, smart, fairly educated and innovative… Opportunity is limited. Although Nigeria is a oil rich, it’s resources isn’t fairly distributed among its people. The ruthless and privileged prioritized at the expense of the many… as such, poverty is widespread.

There was and still, always religious persecution mainly against Christians mainly by Muslim militant groups some enabled by corrupt ill interest Muslim  politicians who conveniently consistently intimidates, torture, rape, maim and murdered Christians Regularly. Hundreds of churches burnt down, hundreds of Pastors, Ministers, evangelists and other Church/Christian leaders targeted for death or maimed. Many children orphaned, many thousands forced to flee and displaced… And many thousands of refugee as a result.  Nigeria has the most religious persecution fatalities in the world.

Given this reality and the constant feeling of not belonging, Patrick O. Emmanuel lived and planned as such.
In 2002 he migrated to the United States, studied and was trained for several years. Founded Christlikeness Christian Network (CCN) in 2014 after undergoing years of training with the international Christian Brotherhood, a Christian organization which trains men in the image and likeness of Christ with a conviction that true Manhood is synonymous to ChristLikeness… There he found clarity of God’s word, call and purpose.

Given the struggle between religion and true Christianity, in 2023 he changed the name from Christlikeness Christian Network to Christlikeness Believers Network.
